The purpose of the privacy policy is to provide maximum transparency regarding the information that the site collects and how it uses it.

In particular, this site does not publish advertisements, does not use data for the purpose of sending advertising - if any: however it does use third-party services in order to improve the use of the site, third parties who may collect user data and then use them to send personalized advertisements on other sites. For example, the site in some cases uses YouTube videos, which are set so as not to send cookies (and therefore not collect data) until the user starts the video. In fact, you can observe that instead of the video there is only a placeholder.

The site also uses social plugins to make it easier to share articles on social networks. These plugins are configured so that they send cookies (and therefore possibly collect data) only after the user has clicked.

Legal basis of the processing

This site processes data mainly on the basis of user consent. Consent is given via the banner at the bottom of the page, or via use or consultation of the site, as conclusive behaviour. By using or consulting the site, visitors and users approve this privacy policy and consent to the processing of their personal data in relation to the methods and purposes described below, including any disclosure to third parties if necessary for the provision of a service. Through the communication or service request forms, further consent is collected relating to the specific purpose of the service.

Purpose of the processing

The processing of data collected by the site, in addition to the purposes connected, instrumental and necessary for the provision of the service, is aimed at the following purposes:

– Statistics (analysis)

Collection of data and information in an exclusively aggregate and anonymous form in order to verify the correct functioning of the site. None of this information is related to the natural person-User of the site, and does not allow identification in any way. Consent is not required.

- Safety

Collection of data and information in order to protect the security of the site (anti-spam filters, firewalls, virus detection) and of the Users and to prevent or unmask fraud or abuse to the detriment of the website. The data is recorded automatically and may possibly also include personal data (IP address) which could be used, in accordance with the laws in force on the matter, in order to block attempts to damage the site itself or to cause damage to other users, or in any case activities that are harmful or constitute a crime. - Ancillary activities

Communicate the data to third parties who perform functions necessary or instrumental to the operation of the service (e.g. comments box), and to allow third parties to carry out technical, logistical and other activities on our behalf. Suppliers have access only to the personal data that is necessary to carry out their tasks, and undertake not to use the data for other purposes, and are required to process personal data in accordance with current regulations.

Data collected

This site collects user data in two ways.

- Data collected automatically

While Users are browsing, the following information may be collected and stored in the site's server (hosting) log files:

- internet protocol (IP) address;
- browser type;
- parameters of the device used to connect to the site;
- name of the internet service provider (ISP);
- date and time of visit;
- web page of origin of the visitor (referral) and exit;
- possibly the number of clicks.

This data is used for statistical and analysis purposes, in exclusively aggregate form. The IP address is used exclusively for security purposes and is not cross-referenced with any other data.

- Data provided voluntarily

The site may collect other data in case of voluntary use of services by users, such as commenting and communication services (contact forms, comment boxes), and will be used exclusively for the provision of the requested service:

- name;
- email address.

Place of treatment

The data collected by the site are processed at the headquarters of the Data Controller, and at the data center which is responsible for data processing, processing the data on behalf of the owner, is located in the European Economic Area and acts in compliance with European standards.

Data retention period

The data collected by the site during its operation are kept for the time strictly necessary to carry out the specified activities. Upon expiration, the data will be deleted or anonymized, unless there are no further purposes for storing them.

The data (IP address) used for site security purposes (blocking attempts to damage the site) are kept for 7 days.

Transfer of collected data to third parties

The data collected by the site is generally not provided to third parties, except in specific cases: legitimate request by the judicial authority and only in the cases provided for by law; if it is necessary for the provision of a specific service requested by the User; for carrying out security or site optimization checks.

Transfer of data to non-EU countries

This site may share some of the data collected with services located outside the European Union area. In particular with Google, Facebook and Microsoft (LinkedIn) through social plugins and the Google Analytics service. The transfer is authorized on the basis of specific decisions of the European Union and of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, in particular decision 1250/2016 (Privacy Shield - here is the information page of the Italian Guarantor), for which no further consent is required. The companies mentioned above guarantee their adherence to the Privacy Shield.

Cookie

This site uses cookies, text files that are recorded on the user's terminal or that allow access to information on the user's terminal. Cookies allow us to store information on visitors' preferences, are used to verify the correct functioning of the site and to improve its functionality by customizing the content of the pages based on the type of browser used, or to simplify navigation by automating the procedures (e.g. Login, site language), and finally for the analysis of the use of the site by visitors.

This site uses the following categories of cookies:

- technical cookies, used for the sole purpose of transmitting an electronic communication, to guarantee correct display of the site and navigation within it. The data collected does not allow the personal identification of users, and is not cross-referenced with other information relating to the same person. Security measures

We process visitor/user data lawfully and correctly, adopting appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or unauthorized destruction of data. We are committed to protecting the security of your personal data while it is being sent by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information in transit. The processing is carried out using IT and/or telematic tools, with organizational methods and with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, categories of persons involved in the organization of the site or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, hosting providers) may have access to the data.

User Rights

Pursuant to European Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR) and art. 7 of Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, n. 196, the User may, according to the methods and within the limits established by current legislation, exercise the following rights:
